The new RQ3 Pick Off Strap allows a rescuer to quickly connect to the victim and then adjust the strap to the length that works best for the situation. The strap works well for positioning the victim for a lowering, rappel-based pick off, or assisted rappel. There is a loop on the end for a positive grip when pulling to adjust. The D-ring end is rated at 8,093 lbf (36kN) and depending on how the buckle is loaded will begin to slip between 3500 to 4500 lbf (15-20kN). Tying off at the buckle increases the strength of the strap.
